Energy Work

We are all made up of energy. Dense vibrating molecules construct our physical form while more subtle and higher vibrations constitute our emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies expanding beyond our skin. Energy vibrates around us, is exchanged between us and our environment, and also flows through us. This universal life energy has been acknowledged by cultures throughout the world. Traditional Chinese Medicine calls it “Chi”, Reiki refers to it as “Ki”, and Hawaiian tradition terms it “Mana.”

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views chi as flowing through meridians, which are regulated by our organs. TCM treats energy imbalances in the organs with herbs and blockages in the meridians with acupuncture. Although similar to TCM, Reiki and Hawaiian Healing see energy as operated by the Chakra system, which contains seven wheels of energy present from the base of the spine to the top of the head.

In a Reiki or Hawaiian ARCH treatment, the practitioner allows the universal life energy to flow to specific areas of the recipient that need healing. Energetic stagnation or blockage is released, which leads to physical, emotional and mental relaxation, as well as spiritual healing. During an energy treatment, you remain fully clothed. No massage or hand pressure is used. The hands of the practitioner are either placed directly on the clothed body of the recipient or are held above the body. Most recipients feel growing warmth and expanding energy flowing into the spaces of the body either directly under the hands of the practitioner and/or within other areas of the body, while others might feel cool or cold sensations. These are common feelings, indicating that healing is taking place. Ultimately, energy work is extremely healing, grounding, and relaxing.

 

Heart-Based Reiki

Heart-Based Reiki is based on traditional Japanese Usui Reiki. Through meditation, Cynthia was guided to and given an additional symbol. This symbol represents Divine Love, and is given and received through the heart chakra. This symbol is taught in Reiki 1.5 in addition to the traditional symbols. In Reiki II and III other heart-based symbols are given along with the traditional symbols. Heart-Based Reiki classes are peaceful and relaxing.

 

Reiki Classes

Reiki is a healing energy modality that anyone can become attuned to and practice on both themselves and others. Many people have always “sensed” energy, but haven’t really understood it. Perhaps they pick up on “good vibes” or “bad vibes” in social situations. Other times, they simply feel “drained” from listening to someone else’s troubles. Taking a Reiki class can help one to better understand these situations and others like them.

Heart-Based Reiki 1.5, 3hrs

This class combines the attunements for Reiki 1 and some of what is traditionally taught in Reiki II. This is a practical Reiki class that allows you to immediately work on yourself and others. You will learn a brief history, practice simple meditations, receive the attunement and practice on yourself and others. This class provides an especially useful tool for therapists of all kinds - psychologists, physical therapists, massage therapists, etc. Parents of children with autism spectrum, ADHD, hypersensitivity, etc. have also found this class helpful.

 

Heart-Based Reiki II, 3hrs
Pre-requisite: Reiki I
Cost: $175.00 ($75.00 non-refundable deposit)

This class includes the traditional attunements for distance healing as well as the next symbol representing Divine Love. In this class you practice healing those not physically close to you as well as healing past events, since the distance healing symbol is useful throughout all space and time.

 

Heart-Based Reiki III, 4hrs
Pre-requisite: Any Reiki II

This class is for those who wish to practice Reiki professionally. It includes the traditional master/teacher attunements, the final symbol representing Divine Love and an Akashic Record attunement as well.
