As one of the first independent therapists at Balance Healing Center, she has helped to build the practice (literally, in our new location) and has been a crucial part of our growth overall. Christine’s treatment is a relaxation-based massage that features therapeutic work.

  • Aimee Duddles, LMT, owner of Balance Healing Center, graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2000. Her bodywork training includes Shiatsu for Structural Dysfunction, Reiki Level III, Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage, Infant Massage Instructor, Belavi Facelift Massage, Advanced Thai Massage, Muscle Therapy, CranioSacral, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, and more. • Lisa Hagenbuch began her study of astrology in 1990, after receiving her first astrological reading, through which she experienced an inner transformation. Lisa believes that astrology is the most insightful tool available for self-awareness, enlightenment and empowerment. In 2003, she became certified as a hypnotherapist, specializing in past life regression. She is former president of the Northern Illinois chapter of National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR). Lisa has practiced astrology professionally since 1996.

  • Karen Kawashima, CranioSacral Therapist (CST), is a graduate of the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, and has been practicing since 1997. She has studied Oriental Medicine, Energy Healings, Reconnection, Aromatherapy, Othrobionomy, Tuning Fork Techniques, LaStone, SomatoEmotional Release, Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue, Pediatric CranioSacral Therapy, as well as Cranial Techniques from both The Upledger Institute and Milne Institute. Karen synthesizes a variety of modalities by combining her knowledge, experience and sensitivity to create a unique therapeutic experience.

Katherine Kehaulani Kelekolio was born and raised in Hawaii, and is of Hawaiian and Japanese decent. Katherine is dedicated to continuing her family’s tradition of practicing the ways of the Healing/Medical Kahuna. An ancient Hawaiian healing art practiced by her great, great, great grandmother and great grandmother, it was forced underground as the islands developed. Nothing of the tradition was ever written or spoken of in Katherine’s family, so all knowledge of the practice was forgotten.
Since learning of her gift in June 2008, and practicing since October 2008, Katherine has expanded her knowledge on her own and is continually taking certified courses to evolve. Even though she has left Hawaii, Katherine believes that she was meant to be here to expand the “Aloha Spirit” and to bring you peace on body, mind, emotional and spiritual levels.
A Certified ARCH Master Healer, Katherine is a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals and is working on advanced studies in Heart-Based Reiki and Akashic Records. She graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and enjoyed working in architectural and construction management for over 15 years.
